MELISSA BLACK
Staffing Coordinator
Since she was a tiny tot growing up in Northfield, Minnesota, Celarity's Staffing Coordinator Melissa Black, has been insatiably curious. However, Melissa's ravenous need to know could sometimes lead to trouble, as when she was a kindergartner and tied herself to a tree "just to see what would happen." Her superior knots prevented her return to class, sending her frantic teacher to rescue her from self-imposed captivity. Unrestrained (literally,) Melissa continued on her quest for knowledge.
Years later, Melissa struck out for the University of Minnesota, Duluth. But even that bustling Midwestern metropolis couldn't hold her for long, and Melissa's restless spirit took her to Minneapolis, where she spent four years working for an international hair salon chain.
It was during those investigative years that Melissa sampled from life's bounteous smorgasbord-taking up running, gardening, traveling (to France and Ireland,) and even attempting to grow a giant pumpkin for State Fair competition (which sadly, died before reaching maturation.)
Finally, Melissa discovered the very thing that could quench her irrepressible inquisitiveness-Celarity. As Staffing Coordinator, Melissa explores the unknown by reviewing resumes, executing reference checks, and compiling candidate profiles, before relaying the information to Celarity's recruiters. On a daily basis, she meets new people and discovers all the business world has to offer.
Today, Melissa still seeks to acquire knowledge, completing her Human Resources degree while harboring a secret childhood desire to become a WWF wrestler. Knowing Melissa, no one-not even a muscle-bound wrestler-could hold her back.
