These specialists must be detail-oriented, adhere to deadlines, and manage their time across multiple projects. They may also need to have flexible hours in order to accommodate communication with other members of their team and to adhere to tight project deadlines.

Work Collaboratively

CGI Artists work with many different people. So, they need to have the ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing. They must also be able to incorporate feedback from colleagues and superiors into their designs in order to make them stronger.

CGI Artists use many different types of softwares and tools. But, they need to have proficiency in 3D modeling software such as:

  • Adobe Creative Suite

And working knowledge in tools such as:

  • Rhinoceros
  • Autodesk Revit Architecture

Important traits for a CGI Artist

CGI Artists need to have an excellent eye for composition, photo-realism, and lighting. They should have a good understanding of model optimization for real-time performance, 3D modeling, and scene ability. CGI Artists need to have strong time management skills and be effective communicators as they will work closely with many team members including project managers, art directors, and fellow artists.
